A ‘for and against’ essay
Today we live in a world where technology
it's all around us. Internet, is the biggest technological breakthrough of the
century, we can download music, watch movies online, chat and etc, but in
recent years there is a phenomenon that has grown at a dizzying pace: social
networks.
What do we mean today by social network? It's a page that allows us
to be in contact with people around the world. Today the three social networks
most used in Spain are Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, but the question we
ask is: What happen with our personal data ?, below i will tell you what for me
are the pros and cons of social networks:
Pros: - Contact people : In fact that is
the main objective of social networking, contact with each other. - Exchange of
opinions and information: It is dangerous because, can be a good or bad thing,
depending on how you use each of the info you publish and settings privacy that
has everyone on your account. - Easy how to contact people: The main advantage
of social networks, it's the reason for the success of, when more simple and
easy social networking more possibilities there are for people to use.
Against: - Security of data entered:
Perhaps the major concern of many people when entering a social network is that
most of these social networks offer security system, but them aren't
responsible for what may happen after you accept the conditions. It's one of
the major drawback of social networks. - Distance from real life: It may sound
like a joke, but some people spend hours using social networks without any kind
of control and forgetting they real life.
Basically those are the pros and cons that
exist in social networks of today, though it may seem, I am for them, because
if used correctly, is something extremely useful for everyone.
