TECHNICAL TOPIC: FIRST AID.

I attended a first aid course and my experience has been highly satisfactory. Let me summarize how to act in an emergency. 

 The first thing to do is ask for help and don't leave the victim alone 

 The next thing is to make sure the environment is safe. Once this is verified proceed to open the airway by lifting the head up thereby preventing the tongue obstruct the air intake, make a visual inspection and remove any object or false teeth. Check whether the victim breathes. If the victim is unconscious  automatically call the emergency services. Make thirty chest compressions and put  the heel of the hand in the center of the chest and the other hand on top, keeping the arms straight and proceeds to push the chest  hundred times a minute and then two rescue breaths, tighten the victim's nose and give air for a second, watch if the chest rises. Then we will alternate thirty compressions with two breaths in a minute averaging twelve breaths for adult, twenty breaths for the child and thirty to forty for a baby. 

 It is very important not to initiate chest compressions if the victim's heart is beating. 

 If the victim is an infant locate your pulse in the armpit. As in the case of adults withdraw its head back and make a visual inspection if you see a strange object in the mouth, remove it with your finger. To begin CPR, cover mouth and nose with his own mouth. Press hundred times per minute the chest. Enough to press chest level, using only two fingers. 

 Both adults and children during resuscitation, the victim may vomit. If this happens, turn the head of the victim, clean debris from vomiting and verify that the airways continue clean, if necessary remove  the residues. You should stop CPR when the victim start making voluntary movements. The most important to stay calm, ask for help from professionals.
